Description

Born to replace a brother he had never met was to be the first of many events that Andreas M. Vogiatzakis would later realize had shaped his life's purpose and became his guiding light.

Every major crossroad he came upon by divine chance, unexpected and uninvited, requiring him to courageously choose his path.

Despite growing up surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, becoming a farmer like his father was never his ambition. After the father's death, the son's life changed, irrevocably.

From one extreme to the other, each decision stretched him further than he thought possible. Each occasion forced him to carve out his own space, adapting flexibly, moving forward with determination.

From Crete to Athens, Florida to New York, Japan to Taiwan, to finally making his home in Malaysia. From hymns to math, long hair to corporate suits, and souvlaki to durian. From failures to awards, from building brands to establishing his own company, from adapting to cultures to creating culture.

Leadership lessons abound in Andreas' life story. From a humble Greek kampung, he sets out on an international and internal journey to becoming a catalyst for positive change.

Easy to read.
Was totally captivated and inspired by his authentic story told in an unpretentious way.
Valuable teaching of leadership with real life examples, the values that will help leaders to navigate in time of challenges and unknown, also a strong reminders to me of valuable life lessons that I have perhaps forgotten or never realized from my childhood and growing up.
....Everything exists together, connected to one another. The good and the bad, the awkward and the smooth, the perfect and the flawed. It's between the juxtapositions that balance is achieved, that we must strive to hold, The Yin and the Yang, always present in our lives. Beautiful is, because of the ugly... well said!!!

Andreas has more to share with his wealth of experience and now being a leadership/success coach/mentor. This is an immersive read and hard to put down, bringing to us his life story which was nicely narrated in a way I felt I was there with him throughout the journey across different countries (like watching a movie).

A start and I believed will propel Andreas for another book project and more soon. For this one, a definite MUST READ!

I just finish your book in one sitting . I could not put it down. Your journey is super inspiring and to read all about your growing up days was pretty fun! The long hair, I'm still gobmacked! Fav sec has to be Mom Speaks. Your mom one in a million!
It was a great refresher of the things we tend to forget in life when we are caught up in the bustle and this book has helped to remind me what is important.

A must read about life, about the past, the present and mostly the future

Your review
Andreas Vogiatzakis is not a writer, he is a storyteller, as an ad person, a Cretan, a Greek. He deploys the story of his life, his career journey, dives into his origins, his family, personal and professional DNA; and he does it boldly though humbly.
Courage at the crossroads is his story, his encounter with multiple challenges across the world, his beliefs, and his values. It's about the gradual development of his free mindset, his love of life, his next steps, and his milestones.
Andreas does not teach, he inspires. He does not show the way, he is the way, the right way. As a human being, as a leader, a motivator.
He embraces change, transformation, unchartered waters. He lives in them and enjoys every single one of them. And this is what makes this book different: his ethos, his pathos, and his logos, aka his noble character, his passion, his words, and his rationale rooted in Mathematics.
This book is the way to look into yourself, accept yourself, live the moment, build your future with no Plan B; stick into your goal, the initial goal, your resources, the people around you, positive thinking, and trust that everything happens for a reason at the time unknown. And this is what makes life fascinating, this drives life in every personal and professional aspect.
Andreas is honest with himself; he does not try to make life look like a rose garden, because it is not a rose garden, it's not even a garden: life is wild like Crete, wavy like the Aegean, demanding like him during his childhood years, eloquent in silence like his monther's few but wise words, strong and inclusive like his father.
I loved every word, saw myself in many of them, thinking about my DOs and DOnts, my mistakes, my achievements, my future endeavors through the prism of my life lived and my life to live.
If I recommend it? you bet I do but under one condition. Take the time to read it and then take the time to go back to your life, think, praise yourself and those who contributed to make you who you really are. And then, smile and take your next step.

Reading Courage at the Crossroads by AMV created a window for me to look back into my childhood and made me realize how many valuable life lessons it taught me.
Without being direct, the author, through his real life examples and experiences, teaches leadership in ways no one else has showed me before. He shows the reader what values and leadership is all about in life,
This book is a MUST read and a great gift!!

Honest, Intimate and Light

Your review
The structure of the book and the way it is written gives feeling of honesty, as if you are sneaking into the author's personal journal. It starts from the author's birth and moves through his life around the world as he grows up and builds his career.
There are plenty of family photos that creates a sense of intimacy with the writer and his tale. What i also enjoyed was the down to earth pieces of advice and wisdom placed in the book, i personally get put off by these kinds of things as generally what you see in other books are Tony Robbins like motivational quotes and i really hate them, but in this book it really felt like a genuine advice that came from real life experience and i loved it.

Kampung Leadership – Yang Asli dan Sahih.

The story and life lessons from the heart of a Greek kampong boy. The wisdom shared would be a tremendous benefit for all. I particularly like the below sections:

1. Mom Said (Kata Ibu),
2. Crossroads (Persimpangan)
3. Juxtapositions (Penjelasan or Mengatur Seiring)
4. + the chapter on It’s All Greek To Me (Words of Leadership)

Perfect Christmas gift for everyone on your list in 2021, no matter your budget.

This is a must read!!!! Each and every word seems to have its own soul. I can feel tears welling up at certain parts and laughter bursting out in another parts. Somehow, it quietly yet firmly stir up courage and confidence from within. There was never a dull moment or a lull. I was enthralled and inspired by the stories that carry the lessons. Its truly a great masterpiece. I enjoyed it so much that I bought for my family, friends and colleagues as Christmas gifts.

Greek pillar of strengths
Your review
Andreas M. Vogiatzakis is a SECOND to none leadership coach, trainer, author and et. al. in the world without bias. He is not only building his SECOND homeland in my super-duper homeland called Malaysia. But, he is constantly helping A-Z-others and me, a typical Malaysian, Daisy Poh Yoke Cheng to rebuild my picoSECOND home again, again, again, again and again with his Greek pillar of strengths. He never ever allow me to wait a SECOND... as he knew I have to deal with multi-pillar of society, multi-pillar of community and etc every SECOND in lieu of my family crossroads obligations.

We started off our Guru brother sister friendship from Philoxenia, in Greek word means friend to strangers or hospitality since 2007. He is a 100% living evidence-based practice in 5Ps [People, Product, Profit, Persistence and Patience] across the globe universally with solid+valid guiding principles be it personally and professionally without any censorship.

I would strongly recommend Andreas M. Vogiatzakis and AMVPLUS ADVISORY for every single individual and industry in the world to move from unknown to known zone courageously. He can point you in the right direction whenever you are at the crossroads. He is the one and only provEN spokEN and writtEN communicator in the world. As, he can lead you to where you want to be without further questions i.e. he can uplift Daisy, that's me from zilch aka nothing to something over decade and now to everything is possible with the exact answer articulately.

Let's make our world beautiful again with all Andreas's lifetime+longtime guiding principles in his book read "Courage at the Crossroads" or you may just engage his advisory services for more greater things to come for the world. With that, I can guarantee you that our world will be bountiful with Andreas's like-minded.
